NOTE: Click here for an explanation and comparison of the “First Science Series Books 1-4” and the “Exhibition Series” books (Leonardo, Newton and Roman Machines)

Primary Physics: the principles behind Leonardo’s science is comprised of Primary Physics First Science Books 1 and 2, plus additional content and experiments specific to Leonardo da Vinci. The book is an integral part of the educational program of the International Leonardo da Vinci Teknoart Exhibition.

Primary Physics: forces, energy and optics-the principles behind Newton’s science is comprised of Primary Physics First Science Books 3 and 4 plus additional content and experiments relating to Isaac Newton and an exciting section on Newton’s original experiments with optics.

Primary Physics: the principles behind Roman Machines includes detailed instructions for making eight different models of inventions from the time of the Roman Empire, plus basic physics lessons from Books 1-4 that are adapted to illustrate the principles upon which each machine operated. The book is an integral part of the educational program of the International Roman Machines Teknoart Exhibition.

While all the lessons from the First Science books are used in the Exhibition Series books, the First Science books can have an advantage for very young children because they are larger and easier for the children to write in, and the black line drawings can be coloured in by children.  Also, for any age group, because the First Science books deal mainly with one topic, they can be completed at whatever pace is appropriate, and then the next year or next term, move on to the next book in the series.
